Hi there I've been told to attend a disciplinary hearing I've been given date time and charges etc these charges are not serious ones at all and evidence will be there word against mine. Can they call a hearing without me having any warnings on my name?
Yes. A disciplinary hearing must be held before any disciplinary action may be taken. A disciplinary hearing in itself is not a punitive action, but a process to allow both employer and employee to state their cases in a fair manner. Your employer is complying with good practice in doing so.
Even charges of trivial offences can have long-term repercussions if not defended properly.
