Good day

The company has the right to ask you to use your annual leave. The employer does not have to pay you based on the no work no pay principle.

Kindly note further;

As an employee you could submit a grievance to the HR department.

The HR will then explain the reason why the company has asked you to use your annual leave. Always refer back to your employment contract and look at the company policy. If you still feel that your company has acted unfairly towards you then I would suggest seeing an attorney for more advise.

Regards

LP

hi,

I am in the same situation and it bothers me that I was literally stuck for 5 hours in no moving traffic and the road ended with violent. I then decided to go back home as I have wasted 5 hours on the road and was literally left with 3 hours for my work time to end.

at the end it was not my fault that I did not make it to work and it was not my intention not to be able to make it to work. A national strike had power towards my ability of being able to get to work. in this case in real aspect, do i still need to fill in an annual leave?

like seriously?disbeliefblankstareno
