I have a employee that needs to attend antenatal visits. The "code of good practice" do imply that she is not allowed to take annual leave. How does this work. Our company is saying that if she is away for 3-4 hours(antenatal visits through the government), she has to sign the hours that she did not attend work as annual leave. Is this true, because as I understand she should not sign annual leave but can provide the company with a attendance certificate.
