Retirement

The company has never enforced the retirement age of 65 - some appointments have occurred after age 65. I am now 68 and have 5 year's service. Last year I was required to sign an agreement to the effect that I may be retired subject to three month's notice. The agreement was never dated and the front page not initialled by all parties. The company is now selectively retiring employees.

I know of at least ons case where a person was appointed at age 67.

Question:

1) Is it fair to selectively enforce the retirement?

2) Is the undated agreement valid?

Thank you in anticipation.
