Hi The company I work for is in the process of retrenching staff due to redundant positions. I was offered a another position, with the same title and pay I currently held as a mid-level in the industry.

What is bugging me, is that last year this same position was advertised as a senior-level position. I applied last year for it, but was turned down due to my experience. Now I'm offered that exact same position but at a mid-level position and pay. Is may reasoning fair for declining this offer. I don't want to loose my severance pay, because I declined the offer
