Hi Labour Protect team and readers

 

i have a question that i cant seem to get answers on:

Our employer (ISP, Climbing of towers, installing equipment on sometimes 100m)

NO OHS at all, no appointments not risk assessments , no fall protection plans , no PPE (some harnesses but not enough), no fire fighting equipment, no first aid, no rescue equipment.

 

Our technicians are expected to complete those jobs under huge amounts of stress and is expected to have a standard of work.

With Almost no tools and what they have are in poor working condition, 

technician A: has a shifting spanner and 1 screw driver (his own)

Technician B has a shifting spanner and a screwdriver and a side cutter (his own)

the point i am trying to make is what does the OHS Act say about Tools more specifically in relation to Tools of the trade and general hand tools

Imagine you are an accountant with out a computer but is expected to have a certain performance, what does the law says about having the tools of the trade and what expectation can we have for employer , any laws on this, any information
