I have not had a scorecard for the last 2 years. I am now being held responsible for a task on my last scorecard (ending in Feb 2018). Since this scorecard my job title has changed twice but without a job description being provided. Can I be held responsible if the task has not been done?

Yes, you will be forced to comply due to the principle of following a lawful instruction from your employer/superior failure to follow an instruction could result in a misconduct that being insubordination. Be very careful as this always applies and if you have a vidictive employer or manager they could use this against you. It is recommended you raise this issue with the employer by way of an internal grievance hearing, if this is in possible or you receive no remedy then you can refer this matter to the CCMA as an unfair labour practice. 

Be careful of committing a career limiting move and try to resolve this amicably, if you need further assistance we refer you to our website.
